Diablo Lake

Stunning.  Enough said.  Lucky for you I don’t know when to stop writing.  Diablo Lake is a glacial lake in the Northern Cascades.  The water is crystal clear and is an incredible shade of turquoise.  No description can really do the lake justice and I dare say that no photograph can capture the true color that your eye sees (Just don’t let my photographer boyfriend read that!  He does amazing work).  The lake lies at an approximate elevation of 1200 feet and the recreation area has trails to help you climb even higher and give stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains.  There is also a daily boat tour around the lake and great camp site near soothing streams for your tent or RV.  In my opinion visiting this lake is a must if you are in the Mt. Baker, Northern Cascades National Park, or Ross Lake National Recreation areas.
