Inside the Cable Car Museum in San Francisco, California. Those wheels are still running the cable cars out on the streets today.
The San Francisco Cable Car Museum is located at the corner of Mason and Washington. It was quite the hike to get their from our hotel. Courtesy of the hills, distances are deceiving! Walking the hills allows for a deeper appreciation for the need of the Cable Car. (more…)

As we were enjoying our breakfast at Beltane Ranch, we met a couple on their honeymoon. They had been in the area for a few days before we arrived and had the opportunity to check out several vineyards. We asked for a recommendation and they suggested we check out Kuleto Estates. With that we called and made our appointment for a tour. (more…)

When we left Beltane Ranch our first stop was Benziger Vineyard. It is a beautiful vineyard with impressive landscaping, most if not all of which is part of their sustainable agriculture process. Benziger practices biodynamic, organic, and sustainable farming methods. They are a family oriented vineyard with several generations involved in various stages of the process. (more…)

Love, love, love, love this bed and breakfast! If you are taking a trip to Sonoma Valley, I recommend you look in to staying at the Beltane Ranch. It is an actual working ranch complete with cows, horses, chickens, and crops (including the area staples: grape vines and olive trees). (more…)

Monterey, California
We didn’t have much time to spend in Monterrey but we did stop for lunch at a little roadside, walk up restaurant at the corner of Ocean View Boulevard and Eardley Avenue, Archie’s American Diner. There was a sit down counterpart as well, but the walk up window allows for either on the go eating or kicking back on their patio. The area is surrounded by parking meters. (more…)
