On our last trip out to San Francisco we were advised by a local to skip Scoma’s and try a place in Sausalito called Angelino’s (see my previous post where I briefly touch on both https://thezestytraveler.com/from-the-road-san-fran-food.html). Artesa Vineyards and Winery was a recommendation from friends of my parents. A great recommendation on their part. The view from this vineyard is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Not only is the view beautiful but so is the winery itself. And of course this was the one stop we made where I forgot my camera back at the house. I was able to take a few mediocre shots with my phone. Oh well, I plan on making another trip there some day. (more…)

Scoma’s in San Francisco, California. Their boat, dock, and restaurant.
Well now, where to begin? The San Francisco Bay Area has an insane food scene. We were moving too fast while we were there to get to enjoy more than the faintest tip of the iceberg. I suppose San Francisco is best known for Rice A Roni, Ghirardelli Chocolate, and sourdough bread. I can’t say I saw a single grain of Rice A Roni while I was in town and I also (very much to my disappointment) didn’t visit Ghirardelli Square. (more…)
