Bubble Pond in Acadia National Park on Mount Dessert Island, Maine.
Acadia National Park is the first national park east of the Mississippi River and it is located way up in Maine. Taking up a large portion of Mt. Desert Island and also oozing out onto other smaller islands and bits of the mainland, the park is more expansive than you at first realize. We were there in October right at the end of the season and it was simplistic beauty. (more…)

Kealakekua Bay by Captain Cook Monument with Adventures in Paradise tour. The specks in the water are a pod of spinner dolphins resting in the bay. They came quite close though I didn’t manage to get a decent picture.

Captain Cook Monument on the Big Island, Hawaii can only be reached by boat.
I highly recommend booking a tour with Adventures in Paradise if you are looking for a great snorkeling tour or kayaking adventure on the Big Island of Hawaii. We opted for the kayaking/snorkeling tour to the Captain Cook monument. Our tour guides were Kira and Ryan. View from Royal Sea Cliff Kona by Outrigger on the Big Island, Hawaii. Same balcony as the partial ocean view!

But I can recommend staying in the Royal Sea Cliff condos. (more…)

Owned and managed by Alan and Lucia Chapman, this little hideaway quickly became our home away from home. The cabin is about 7 years old already but is kept in such great condition that you’d swear you were the first person to stay. (more…)

Inside Old Ironsides in Boston, MA.
We landed in Boston, MA and decided to cruise around the city for a little bit since it was my first visit. We didn’t want to spend too much time in town though because we had a cabin waiting for us in Bar Harbor. So we circled Boston Commons which is beautiful and if I have the chance to revisit the city I will certainly spend some time enjoying the park. My target for this trip was centered on the USS Constitution. (more…)
